About this Event
What is Pride in Progress? Pride in Progress is one of the most anticipated Provo pride events of the year. After a long and oftentimes difficult school year, Pride in Progress celebrates the BYU and Provo LGBTQ+ community. This year, Cougar Pride Center hopes to mobilize and inspire people to “JOIN THE MOVEMENT. A fight for equality, dignity, and love. At the end of this semester, we come together to empower each other, celebrate our community, and advocate for PROGRESS.”
Anyone, regardless of orientation, religion, gender, political affiliation, etc. is invited to attend and support the cause. CPC expects 500+ people at the event. The event is private, RSVP is required. An RSVP link is available at www.cougarpridecenter.org/prideinprogress. No fee is required for admission, but a donation is suggested. Those wishing to donate can do so at www.cougarpridecenter.org/donate.
The event will follow this schedule:
- 4:15 p.m. Meet at the Provo Historic Courthouse, listen to speeches given by LGBTQ+ and BYU community members
- 5 p.m. March on Provo Center St to Memorial Park
- 5 p.m. Pride Festival and Concert at Memorial Park
