Proud Strides
Proud Strides is an LGBTQ+ and ally-friendly running club dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive space for runners of all levels. Based in Amsterdam, the club meets every other Saturday for social 5k runs at a relaxed, conversational pace, ensuring that no one is left behind. Since launching, each run has welcomed a minimum of 20 runners, highlighting the growing demand for inclusive fitness spaces. Every run is followed by a coffee meetup, fostering connections and building a strong sense of community beyond the pavement.
BTND.
Better The Next Day (BTND.) is a run-crew and community based in Amsterdam, founded by Jake and Bjorn. Built on the belief that movement should be inclusive, supportive, and joyful, BTND. focuses on connection, community, and both physical and mental wellbeing. The crew welcomes runners of all fitness levels, backgrounds, and paces — prioritizing the post-run high, camaraderie, and the shared goal of becoming better the next day. Their events often blend movement and mindfulness, including collaborations such as community runs with lululemon at their Amsterdam Hartenstraat store, featuring warm-ups, accessible pacing, and social gatherings that foster genuine connection.
