🛑 Say NO to Detention, Say YES to Human Rights! 🛑
CoreCivic is seeking a Special Use Permit (SUP) to establish an ICE detention facility in Leavenworth. This facility would contribute to the unjust detention of immigrants for corporate profit. We cannot allow this in our community!
Join us in taking a stand! We demand that our city officials reject this permit and prioritize human rights over private prison interests.

📢 KEY DATES & ACTIONS: ✊ April 7, 2025 (6:00 PM, Leavenworth City Hall) – Public Hearing with the Leavenworth Planning Commission. Public comments are welcome, but no final decision will be made. The Planning Commission will recommend approval or denial to the City Commission.
✊ May 13, 2025 (6:00 PM, Leavenworth City Hall) – First City Commission Meeting to consider the SUP. Public comments are welcome.
✊ May 27, 2025 (6:00 PM, Leavenworth City Hall) – Final Vote by the City Commission on the SUP application. This is our last chance to stop it!
