Protecting Americans’ Health in the Face of Extreme Weather

Join Brown University’s STAT Network and the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) in Washington, D.C., for the launch of a new report highlighting state public health efforts to mitigate the rising impact of extreme weather on health – amidst a rapidly changing policy and funding landscape. Hosted in conjunction with the 2025 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting, the event will feature a panel discussion with state health leaders and a journalist, as well as key insights from a year of collective problem-solving on extreme weather and health challenges across 45 states. The program will be followed by a networking reception.
