Eastern Red Cedar is a native species that likes to crowd out prairie plants when fire doesn't keep the cedars in check. Please join Friends of Wilderness Park and Lincoln Park and Recreation on a casual cedar cut. We'll be meeting at the 14th Street Entrance of Wilderness Park between Yankee Hill and Rokeby Road on South 14th Street. Please wear gloves and long sleeves to protect your arms from cedar scratches. Waiver forms must be signed at the beginning of the event. Please bring bow saws and loppers if you have them. Tools will be provided if you don't have them. This cedar cut will be led by FWP board member, Bryan Mack.
