March 4 is a Day of Action! Across the country, students, parents, educators and community allies are coming together to sound the alarm on Trump and Musk’s devastating cuts to the Department of Education that will increase class sizes, close schools and hurt opportunities for kids from chronically under-resourced neighborhoods and kids with disabilities. Participants will rally to defend and expand investments in America’s public schools so that all kids can thrive. The Cincinnati Federation of Teachers asked everyone to join as at the following events:
#1) Pack the Board of Ed - March 3 @ 5:30pm
Where: CPS Board of Education, 2651 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45219
When: Monday, March 3 at 5:30pm
What: CPS community to speak against dismantling the US Department of Education - Sign up to speak no later than 5:30pm
#2) Clap-In at CPS - March 4 as school starts
Where: All CPS schools
When: Tuesday, March 4 at school start time (start times will vary)
What: CPS community to clap in students as they begin their day to show support for public education
#3) Press Conference - March 4 @ 2:00pm
Where: Intersection of William Howard Taft Rd. and Collins Ave
When: Tuesday, March 4 at 2:00pm
What: Labor Leaders to call on Vice President Vance to prioritize Ohio’s children over tax cuts for billionaires
