Join us to kick off Idle Hands Craft Ales' Oktoberfest weekend with an outdoor celebration featuring live comedy, local booksellers, and magnificent beer. New Normal returns with a lineup of comedians (with some drag and magic along the way)!
An individual ticket gets you entry into the comedy show, plus a complimentary drink token (redeemable for either a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage at Idle Hands). You’ll also be able to browse diverse books and bookish merch from 3 local pop-up bookshops.

Idle Hands has always been about bringing people together around great beer. On the brew deck, in the cellar or at the taps, their staff all share a love for both timeworn recipes and bold twists. In their Malden taproom, their patrons gather to see old friends and make new ones. Idle Hands is committed to the very ground that our foundation stands on. Through local events, neighborhood cleanups, fundraising and more, they are always looking for ways to give back to the city and its people.

Read My Lips Boston is a Malden-based romance bookshop whose new & used shelves center authors and main characters from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the romance genre.
Also based in Malden, Nebula Books is a small, independent used book pop-up shop that specializes in science fiction, fantasy, and the macabre.
Hailing from neighboring Medford, Book Wonder features diverse and inclusive, gently used graphic novels, comics, and books for all ages.
