About this Event
Durham County’s 2025 property revaluation has resulted in the largest increase in property values in the county’s history. Many longtime residents are now asking important questions:
- Is my property assessment accurate?
- Am I being over-assessed?
- What options do I have to lower my property taxes?
- Do I qualify for any tax relief programs?
Join the Bragtown and Walltown Community Associations for a free community workshop designed to help Durham homeowners better understand the property tax appeal process and available relief programs.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Learn how to review whether their property tax value seems fair
- Understand what makes a strong property tax appeal
- Explore available property tax relief programs
- Receive guidance and support navigating the process
This workshop is especially intended to support longtime residents and homeowners who may be experiencing rapid neighborhood change and rising property values.
