Propellers & Pistons Winter Cruise

Whether you are behind the wheel of a Beach Buggy, a Baja Bug, an old-school VW Beetle, or a classic VW variant, fire it up, grab a warm jacket, and let's hit the road.
The Route Details
Launch Pad: Woodbridge Island, Milnerton
Time: Meet up at 9:00 AM. We roll out strictly at 9:30 AM.
Stop 1: South African Air Force (SAAF) Museum, Ysterplaat
Stop 2: Cape to Rio Fisheries, Paarl
The Mission: From Aviation History to Valleys of Gold
We start the morning by cruising over to Air Force Base Ysterplaat. We will have the chance to explore the massive hangars filled with iconic vintage fighter jets, helicopters, and classic mechanical history. If you appreciate old-school engineering, this place is gold. They also have a famously budget-friendly museum bar and quick bites like boerewors rolls on the go.
Once we’ve had our fill of propellers, we will put our own pistons to work. The convoy will head inland toward Paarl, taking the scenic route into the valley. Our final destination is Cape to Rio Fisheries for a massive portion of the absolute best fish and chips in the Western Cape. Sitting down to a hot meal with a great bunch of people is the perfect way to cap off a winter cruise.
Bring the Family
The Wild Buggers Beach Buggy Club is all about relaxed, family-friendly car events in Cape Town. No racing, no egos, just the unmistakable sound of flat-four engines and great camaraderie.
Check your fluids, clear out the garage dust, and let’s get this convoy moving. Hit the "Join" or "Interested" button so we can keep track of numbers for the road.
See you at Woodbridge Island on Saturday, 11 July. Dit gaan 'n fees wees!
