Five Rivers MetroParks and the Centerville-Washington Park District are teaming up to train educators on the latest publication in the award-winning Project WET lineup. The Water in Earth Systems guide contains 23 lessons about the properties of water that drive life and Earth's systems. Topics include states of water, molecular structure and bonding of water, watersheds, water systems, groundwater, climate and weather. Activities span from lower elementary through high school levels and can be adapted for setting, ability and time. Lessons are inquiry-based and designed to teach place-based STEM education through the lens of water. Lessons are not only academically rigorous but also fun for educators! You will receive your own copy of the guide (valued at $23) and access to Project WET's portal of online resources. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Contact hour certificates will be given to all participants.
