Project SEARCH Recruitment Event

Join us at the Project SEARCH Recruitment Event at New County Hall in Truro and find out more about supported internships with Cornwall Council starting this September.

Project SEARCH is a supported internship programme for young people aged 18–24 with an EHCP who want to gain workplace experience, build confidence and work towards paid employment.

The programme includes:

· Four days a week in a Cornwall Council workplace placement

· One day a week at Cornwall College

· Support from dedicated job coaches

· Employability and independent living skills development

· Experience across different workplace roles

As part of the event, attendees will also take part in a series of short workplace tasks designed to give a feel for the types of activities and skills involved within the programme.

This is a chance to:

· Meet the Project SEARCH team

· Learn how the programme works

· Explore the support available

· Find out about the recruitment process

· Experience practical workplace-style activities

· Speak with staff from Cornwall College and Cornwall Council

This event is suitable for:

· Young people aged 18–24 with an EHCP

· Parents and carers

· Schools and supporting professionals
