Join NYS Department of Environmental Conservation & WXXI Education for a series of early childhood workshops focused on empowering educators to explore nature with young children in a variety of ways. Workshop #3: Project Learning Tree (PLT)’s “Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood” is an interdisciplinary, hands-on curriculum that uses the forest as a window on the world. The session will provide an introduction to environmental education, strategies for encouraging young children to explore, discover and communicate in expressive ways.

Date & Time: May 22, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.
Location: Frederick Douglass R-Center - 999 South Avenue, Rochester, NY
Participants: This session is appropriate for individuals who serve children ages 3 to 10 years old - educators, child care providers, family therapists, children's librarians, recreation staff, and more.
2.0 hours of New York State CTLE credit will be provided for each session attended.
