Dahlias are the queen of the garden come late summer and there is no doubt why; they are truly marvelous! In this class you will learn everything you need to know about adding Dahlias to your garden. Students will be taken step by step through the process, talking about unique heirloom varieties, tuber sourcing, soil, fertilization, planting, support, cutting, winter care, and splitting. As one of the more finicky plants in the garden, students will walk away from this class knowing all the dahlia-growing secrets you need for success! This is a class for all gardeners and flower-lovers alike, bring your friends, questions, and prepare to learn a lot!Please note: Students will go home with a dahlia tuber of their own. The first hour and a half will be for the lecture, and the last half an hour will be for questions. Pickup date and location and will be emailed to students.
