Our speaker is Bill Aleshire, an Austin-based attorney and former Travis County Tax Collector and Travis County Judge who specializes in government transparency, public information law, and regulatory matters. He is the owner of AleshireLAW PC, a firm focused on holding government entities accountable under the Texas Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act. He has filed several lawsuits against the City of Austin challenging changes to the Project Connect light-rail plans, arguing they lacked voter approval and the deceptive language for funding it.
