Join us at the Green Backyard for a seasonal cooking class on the 12th October. This cooking class will draw on the oriental wisdom of macrobiotics to show us how to achieve balance during this beautiful season.
Autumn is here already with its subtle energy changes in nature. The sap in trees goes inwards, resulting in wonderful autumnal colours and we can feel a little melancholy at this time of year. We may have indulged in expansive and refreshing foods during the hot weather. During the autumn months this can result in an internal coldness expressed by a runny nose and a cold. This is where the body is trying to eliminate excess and bring us back into balance.
We will cover all preparation and cooking methods to prepare two warming and tasty dishes. Squash and ginger soup with Ben’s Bakes sourdough and lentil pate.
