Prohibition 101 - Learn Hands-on Classic Craft Cocktails

Our Mixologists will lead you through the narrative details of the classic cocktails during the 20's Prohibition Era while experimenting with Early American cocktails like the Sazerac, Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Dark & Stormy. Learn two Prohibition cocktails and get recipe cards compliments of the Speakeasy at Quintana's Barber & Dream Spa. We'll occasionally throw in one of our Speakeasy Originals for a fun twist. "In 1919, the 18th Amendment was passed, clearing the way for 13 years of the folly that was Prohibition. The Noble Experiment lasted from 1920 to 1933. During this time, it was illegal to sell alcohol, so people completely stopped drinking. Yeah, right. They actually drank more than ever, even though the cocktails weren’t exactly top notch.

Barkeeps had limited access to good booze, so they used sweeteners and juices to cover up the taste of the rough hooch. A few cocktails from the era survived, having been lovingly restored in the best mixology joints around the country". - Chantal Martineau

What's the refund policy? Please read to avoid confusion and frustration. We apologize in advance, we do not transfer tickets to other events. Prepaid experiences are non-refundable, we do not offer refunds, and cannot be modified or exchanged after 15 days prior to day of any event. We generally sell out our classes or events and can not fill them without 15 days advance notice as each experience is exclusive to cocktail making, specifics to American or Japanese whiskeys for example, they're intimate, we prepare for the class- batch out cocktails days ahead, we staff our events accordingly. Ex.) Your in-laws surprised you with a visit, your Boss is making you work late, baby's got the flu, and Cousin Vinny past away... We do appreciate your patronage.
