THURSDAY, JULY 16
Paper Kites from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Paynetown SRA, Activity Center: Patio
DROP BY to craft your own colorful paper kite – and then give it a try in one of our grass areas this afternoon!
Help the Hellbenders from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Watch for a naturalist roving the CAMPGROUND… learn how you can help the population of Indiana’s only giant salamander, the Hellbender, and snag a “Help the Hellbenders” sticker!
FRIDAY, JULY 17
Forest Floor Pop-Up Cards from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

DROP BY to design a pop-up card featuring one of the animals that lives on the forest floor.
Snake Chat from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

DROP BY to meet and touch one of our live education snakes and get your questions about snakes answered!
Dragonfly Clips at 2:45 p.m.
Paynetown SRA, Activity Center: Shelter
ARRIVE ON TIME! Learn how to identify a few of the dragonflies commonly seen flitting around the lake and then design your own full-size dragonfly that can be clipped to a hat brim or the brim of a flowerpot. 45 minutes
Marshmallow Constellations from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

DROP BY to learn more about the constellations (pictures formed from stars) that are visible in the night sky right now – and design your own using miniature marshmallows as the “stars.”
SATURDAY, JULY 18
Get to Know a Rock from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

DROP BY to explore the types of bedrock found in the Monroe Lake area – and use a piece of it to craft your own rock “friend.”
Sunprints from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

DROP BY to harness the power of the Sun to create art! We’ll be using special UV-sensitive paper to capture shadows. *Sun-dependent! This program will be cancelled if the sky is too overcast.*
Upcycled Magnets from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

DROP BY to transform old magazines and used canning jar lids into unique and beautiful magnets!
SUNDAY, JULY 19
Wetland Lily Pads from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

DROP BY to learn about the function wetlands habitats, sometimes called “Earth’s kidneys,” and make a lily pad paper craft.
