The MCA PSCRB course is designed to train you to take charge of survival craft and rescue boats during emergencies at sea. The course combines focused theory with practical drills covering survival equipment, emergency procedures, man overboard procedures, search patterns, distress communications, first aid and the use of rescue boats.
The course is an important qualification for those progressing towards OOW (Yachts) 3000 GT or Engineer CoC certification, and the certificate must be refreshed every five years.
Prerequisites:
• STCW A-VI/1-1 Personal Survival Techniques
• At least 6 months' seagoing service
• Must be at least 16 years old
