Come join us on Febuary 15: former Harvard Professor and communications expert Steve Jarding will be offering his renowned professional communication training program to Harvard students February 15, 2024, from 9am-5pm at Harvard Yard in Cambridge, MA. Jarding developed this unique communication paradigm during his 16-year teaching career at HKS.Professor Jarding’s workshop teaches students – regardless of their proficiency in communications or their experience as a public speaker – state-of-the-art techniques for delivering a great speech and for successfully taking charge of and winning difficult communication settings including presentations, interviews or debates.

Since Jarding’s retirement from HKS in 2019, new HKS students have brought him back every year to conduct a workshop on the universal communication techniques he developed. Professor Jarding’s current and past clients include 11 presidents and prime ministers, Nobel Prize laureates, members of Parliament, members of Congress, mayors, governors, and elected officials from nearly every political position.Professor Jarding will offer a one day eight-hour workshop highlighting all of his state-of-the-art techniques that will allow participants to bring their communication paradigm to life.

The cost of this one-day workshop is $105 per participant.

In addition, Professor Jarding will offer ten half-hour sessions with individuals who sign up on Saturday and ten half-hour sessions with individuals who sign up for additional sessions February 16-18. These sessions will cost $50 per participant. In these sessions participants will have to deliver a three-minute speech that they prepared ahead of time that will be filmed and critiqued in real time by Professor Jarding and the individual participant.The communication tools taught include extensive training in the use of body language and voice techniques to make participants better speakers, and includes the training of a litany of word “usages” to make a speaker’s presentation and message come alive.

Participants will be taught how to use “speech font”, how to block and bridge on difficult questions, how to utilize the “communication” and “gesture” boxes, how to train utilizing the 21 emotions expressed in the human face, how to use conversational transitions, and many, many more techniques.for an exciting event led by the renowned Professor Steve Jarding. This workshop will delve into the fascinating world of political communication, providing valuable insights and strategies for effective messaging in the political arena.
