ABOUT THE LABS
Are you an emerging artist, producer, or freelancer struggling to get to grips with the big world of producing? Join the Producer Lab!
Producer Lab is a five-part workshop series designed to demystify the producing process for early-career creatives, self-producing artists, indie companies and emerging producers.
Each session is led by Blown Fuse Theatre’s Executive Producer Roxanne Carney and rooted in honest, experience-based learning. We break down the production process of a project into accessible, hands-on workshops that build your skills, confidence and network.
Sessions are interactive and informal, with space for questions, reflection and peer connections.
WHAT WILL YOU GET (per workshop):
*Enrolment onto a jam-packed 2 hour workshop, led by Executive Producer Roxanne Carney
*A comprehensive resource sheet with links, tasks and networks relating to the workshop
*An opportunity to expand your network of creatives
*Access to the Producer Lab network (previous participants)
*Tangible tasks to elevate your project
*Signing up to Blown Fuse and Roxanne Carney's mailing list so you don’t miss future opportunities (you can unsubscribe at any time)
Come to one workshop or attend the whole series. These sessions are designed to support the creative work you’re already doing and help you build what comes next.
THE FIVE WORKSHOPS
1. Producing 101 Demystifying the role from scratch: what a producer actually does, and how a project is shaped by having one. (Monday 7th September)

3. Pitch, Please Finding the funding opportunities, pitching with confidence, securing support and tracing how to get funded, step by step. (Monday 21st September)
4. Number Crunch Building a realistic budget, spotting hidden costs, and paying people fairly, using a real budget as the model. (Monday 5th October)
