About this Event
This experience will take place in Vanderbilt’s simulation lab (2213 Garland Ave) and will focus on these key skills: Ultrasound guided line placements for central venous catheter insertion, arterial line placement, and Peripheral IV placement. Other procedures will be Chest Tube Placement and Paracentesis. Instruction of Ultrasound guided line placements will include the opportunity to utilize the ultrasound to practice mannequin and cadaver cannulation. Instruction on these skills will be interactive. You will start with the fundamentals and practice on task trainers and then on cadavers. This will develop your competency and will be able to utilize this course of instruction and skills for credentialing and/or recredentialing. Boxed lunches will be provided.
