The evening begins with an exclusive guided tour of The Lord Leycester, one of the finest and most complete medieval timber-framed complexes in the British Isles. Steeped in over 700 years of history, this extraordinary site has been home to thriving communities since the 1300s and, for more than 450 years, has provided a home and community for veterans through the charitable vision of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester.
Discover the fascinating story of the Guilds of Warwick, who constructed these stunning buildings using timber from English forests dating back to the 1200s. Learn how Robert Dudley, a favourite of Queen Elizabeth I, established the Lord Leycester Hospital in 1571 for former servicemen, a tradition that continues today. The Master and Brethren still live on site, preserving centuries-old customs within the beautifully restored medieval surroundings.
Following the tour, enjoy a delicious two-course dinner accompanied by drinks while continuing conversations with fellow finance and business professionals.
