About the Conference
We are pleased to invite you to the Duke MBA Private Capital Conference, hosted by the Private Capital Club at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. The conference will take place on April 22, 2026, and will bring together students, investors, and industry professionals for an afternoon of discussions on private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and emerging trends in private markets.
Programming and Speakers
The conference will feature keynote speakers, industry panels, and breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics across the private capital ecosystem. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with investment professionals, alumni, and industry leaders while gaining insights into current market trends, investment strategies, and career paths in private markets. The event will conclude with a networking happy hour, providing additional opportunities to connect with speakers and attendees.
Conference Topics and Sessions
The agenda includes keynote sessions, breakout discussions across private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real estate, as well as panels on secondaries and the growing role of artificial intelligence in private markets. Opening Keynote
Host: Jeff Robinson
Info: Jeff Robinson is a former Managing Director and Co-Head of Special Situations at Bain Capital Credit, where he led distressed and special situations investing and served on the investment committee. He joined Bain Capital in 2002 and worked across credit, distressed investing, and private capital transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate development and strategy.

Info: Jonathan Roth is Co-Founder of Round2 Investment Partners and has over 30 years of experience in private equity investment management. Host: Professor Campbell Harvey
Info: Campbell Harvey is a Professor of Finance at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a Partner at Research Affiliates. His research spans asset pricing, investment management, emerging markets, and decentralized finance, and he has published over 150 academic articles in finance and economics.
