Reservations and Payment
Your Eventbrite ticket reserves your selected appointment time. No payment will be collected through Eventbrite.
To help us hold your spot fairly, you'll receive a text within 24 hours of booking requesting a $30 deposit (Venmo or Zelle), credited toward your total. Reservations without a confirmed deposit within 48 hours may be released to make room for others.
The pending payment will be made directly to Amita and his team on the day of your session.
Accepted payment methods: Cash, Venmo, PayPal, Cashapp and Zelle accepted.
Because appointments are extremely limited, please reserve only if you are committed to attending.
Each reservation is scheduled within a two-hour appointment window. Depending on the experience selected, that time may include your treatment, consultation, tea, meal, personalized recommendations, and an unhurried transition before departure.
How to Prepare
- Arrive approximately 10–15 minutes before your reserved time.
- Eat lightly beforehand rather than arriving immediately after a heavy meal.
- Avoid scheduling anything rushed directly after your appointment.
- Additional preparation instructions may be emailed before the event.
Health Information
Guests may be asked to complete a brief health and wellness questionnaire before their appointment. This allows Amita to better understand individual needs and determine whether any part of the experience should be modified.
Ayurvedic services are complementary wellness practices and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Please consult your healthcare provider regarding medical conditions, pregnancy, recent procedures, allergies, or other health concerns.
Cancellation and Late Arrival Policy
Because each reservation holds a limited private appointment, please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations within 72 hours or no-shows.
Late arrival may shorten the session so that the remaining appointments can begin on time. Guests arriving more than 20 minutes late may forfeit their reservation.
Reservations may be transferred to another guest with advance notice.
Coming With a Friend?
If you're booking with a friend, partner, or family member, book for 2 people in the SAME SLOT during registration and write a comment. When you both come for your session, you'll each receive $20 off your sessions.
Location
Sessions will take place at The Treehouse, a private woodland retreat property in Luray, Virginia.
The exact address, parking instructions, and arrival information will be emailed to registered guests before the event.
Guests should wear shoes with good grip and allow enough travel time to arrive without rushing.
Explore the Area
Luray sits right at the edge of Shenandoah National Park — the Thornton Gap entrance to Skyline Drive is a short drive away on US-211. It's a beautiful way to spend an afternoon before or after your session.
Luray Caverns, one of the best-known show caves on the East Coast, is also just outside town. Or stay closer to home base: the treehouse's own 22 acres have trails and a natural spring worth wandering before your appointment.
A Shenandoah National Park entrance pass (around $30/vehicle, covers 7 days) is needed for Skyline Drive and the park's trails — worth planning for if you want to make a full day of it.
About Amita Balaram
Amita Balaram is an Ayurvedic practitioner, neuromuscular therapist, massage therapist, yoga instructor, and Ayurvedic chef dedicated to helping others restore balance through the timeless traditions of Ayurveda.
Amita Balaram was studying to become a lawyer when he was introduced to the ancient science of Ayurveda through teachers established in Northeastern India. He came to believe that solving people's problems starts with solving their body's problems — so he left his studies behind and became a full-time Ayurvedic healer.
Over the past decade, he's blended modern movement science with traditional Shirodhara wellness, creating sessions that participants describe as "a massage for the nervous system." He's helped hundreds of people find relief through Ayurveda over the years.
He is a certified massage therapist trained at Gwinnett College in Atlanta, and an Ayurvedic wellness practitioner trained at S-VYASA University in Bangalore, India.
Drawing from both traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and modern bodywork, Amita offers personalized wellness experiences that address the unique needs of each individual.
