About this training
Private applicators are invited to join Clemson Extension Horticulture Agent Nicole Goodman for a full-day training focused on the legal use of pesticides and responsible pesticide application. Following the training, participants may take the South Carolina Private Applicator licensing exam or earn CEUs if they already hold a South Carolina pesticide applicator license.
⚠️ This training is not intended for homeowners or individuals seeking a commercial or noncommercial pesticide applicator license.
Private applicator licenses are intended for agricultural producers who purchase, use, or supervise the use of restricted-use pesticides (RUPs) in their farming operations.
Optional study material
Applicators may purchase the "Applying Pesticides Correctly: A Guide for Private and Commercial Applicators" manual as study/reference material for the exam. Contact your event host or your local Clemson Extension office for purchase information.
