About this Event

Basic life support (BLS) class teaches essential lifesaving skills that can be used to help someone experiencing cardiac arrest, choking, or other life-threatening emergencies. The class covers chest compressions, rescue breathing, and proper AED (automated external defibrillator) use. Participants also learn how to recognize the signs of a heart attack, stroke, and choking. BLS certification is often required for healthcare providers, first responders, and lifeguards.
