Join the Streetz Artz Alliance at Maplewood Public House in Glen Ellyn on Saturday, September 5, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM for Prism Market: Flannel, Music & Virgos, a family-friendly outdoor artisan market celebrating that wonderfully in-between time of year.
What do flannel, music and Virgos have in common? For one Saturday afternoon, quite a bit.
Expect a carefully curated mix of local artists, makers, collectors and small businesses with an emphasis on music, vinyl, rustic and nature-inspired creations, plants, early fall finds and plenty of the unexpected. Browse original artwork, jewelry, home décor, woodworking, leather goods, vintage treasures, records, apparel, baked treats, collectibles and other unique goods while discovering the independent creators behind them.
Music takes a little more of the spotlight at this edition of Prism. Dig through vinyl, discover music-inspired artwork and creations, and enjoy a market built for people who believe a good soundtrack makes an afternoon of sipping and shopping even better.
And since September 5 lands right in the middle of Virgo season, we couldn’t leave the Virgos out. Look for touches of astrology, plants, nature, celestial inspiration and the meticulous creativity that would make any detail-oriented Virgo proud. You don’t have to be a Virgo to attend, of course. We promise not to check birth certificates at the entrance.
This is also our unofficial invitation to start thinking about flannel again. We’re sending summer off with cold beverages and warm-weather vibes while welcoming rustic colors, earthy inspiration and those first little signs that autumn is on its way. Wear your favorite flannel if the weather cooperates, or just bring your appreciation for everything that makes early September in the Midwest special.
