Printmaking with Mary Hannigan

Curious about printmaking? Step into Mary's studio and explore this fascinating art form in a small-group, hands-on setting. Using her professional printing press and printmaking tools, you'll learn the fundamentals of transferring images from a carved, etched, or prepared surface (called a matrix) onto paper or fabric.
Whether you're brand new to printmaking or looking to expand your skills, Mary offers personalized instruction tailored to your experience level. Learn traditional techniques such as linocut, and other relief and experimental printmaking methods. You'll discover how to prepare your design, carve or create your printing surface, ink your matrix, and produce beautiful hand-pulled prints using a professional press and hand roller (brayer).
Mary is also happy to work one-on-one with students, help artists develop individual printmaking projects, or facilitate collaborative prints between artists and creatives.
With class sizes limited to just 4 students, you'll receive plenty of individual guidance and hands-on experience in a relaxed, creative studio environment.
