Marion is a textile design graduate from DJCA Dundee, she is a practicing artist member, exhibitor and award winner of The Paisley Art institute, member of The Glasgow Society of Women Artists and is a judge for the Glasgow Institute of Architects Annual Design Competition.

She has a particular interest in architecture and am exhibiting for Doors Open Days 2021 at The Arlington Baths Glasgow with a montage, drawings and collages of Glasgow‘s iconic doors.

As a retired teacher, she has presented workshops for Luminate Scotland at The Gallery of Modern Art and presented CPD workshops for colleagues for Glasgow Museums Education Department and Glasgow Life. She was invited to exhibit in the ‘Lines of Thought’ exhibition at the Lighthouse, celebrating the life of architect, Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson.

She enjoys enjoys working in different mediums and in particular likes to experiment and combine a variety of materials to produce themed dynamic collage work. She also uses photography to make collages highlighting architectural features of iconic buildings.

Her workshops will give you the opportunity to experiment with a whole range of materials from fabrics to acrylics and recycled items combining cutting, shaping, gluing, tearing, printing, mark making and constructing to create your individual collage.

You will be given ideas to develop collage skills and support with your own ideas within a relaxing workshop situation. A wide selection of materials will be supplied for you to choose from.

Please note the content of each workshop will vary as listed at the top of this page. You do not need to book for every workshop unless you wish to do so.
