About this event
THRE in collaboration with Engage Renfrewshire are hosting an in-person workshop session on human rights and equalities for organisations in the West of Scotland. This is an in-person event featuring expert guest speakers to explore how we can apply a Human Rights and Equalities First approach to the sector's work.
The event will run from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday the 17th of September 2024, at The FYF Charity Hub, St James House, 25 Saint James' Street, Paisley, Renfrewshire PA3 2HQ.
What we will cover:
- To learn about human rights and equalities – what they are and why they matter
- To understand how human rights and equalities are relevant to the work of local third sector organisations
- To consider the practical steps needed to begin to take a human rights and equalities first approach
We will be announcing our guest speakers shortly.
There will be a lunch provided for attendees, please make sure to let us know of any dietary requirements when signing up via the order form.

About Engage Renfrewshire
Engage Renfrewshire is a third sector interface (TSI); this means that we support local charities and other not-for-profit groups, so that they can do even more of what they’re good at. We empower organisations to be safe, resourceful and effective, and to grow and develop their services - meaning our communities are inclusive and aspirational.
We represent the third sector at a community planning level, provide an organisational hub, and offer financial services for individuals and organisations through our social enterprise Engage Finance. Furthermore, the Community And Voluntary Action Team work directly with local organisations and charities to increase their knowledge, resources and funding and to promote the services of our member organisations.
