Printing with Recycled Materials with Lizi Beevor (SILVA Prints)

Join Lizi Beevor, local artist & printmaker, for a creative afternoon of printmaking in this workshop. Suitable for complete beginners, Lizi will walk you through how to create your very own unique, atmospheric artwork using drypoint intaglio technique, and giving that old oat milk carton a second life at the same time!

You will learn:

• how to create a design that gets the most out of the drypoint technique
• how to transfer your design to tetrapak
• how to safely use a drypoint needle to etch the design into the tetrapak surface
• how to print your final artwork working with high quality inks and paper, and using an etching press

NOTE: As we will be using slow-drying inks, do bring suitable clothing in case of stains. Also be aware that the prints may not dry within the session, but will be available to collect from Pipica once dry.
