About this Event

Saturday 20 March
10 am – 3 pm (including 60 min for lunch)

Artist Linda Swinfield will lead you in a fun and experimental printmaking workshop exploring the creative possibilities hidden within everyday domestic materials and objects. Using monotype and contemporary printmaking techniques, participants will create unique prints inspired by the textures, patterns and stories found in and around the home. Ordinary and upcycled materials will become exciting printing tools; experiment with unusual surfaces, natural and found objects, collaged elements, fabrics, packaging and household textures to create rich layers, unexpected marks and expressive compositions. Linda will guide you through a range of colour application methods, encouraging play, exploration and creative risk-taking throughout the process. Participants will leave with a collection of original artworks that can be framed, made into cards, incorporated into journals or used as the starting point for further creative projects.
