Artist Elaine Camlin will present an artist talk and live printmaking demonstration, offering insight into the ideas, research, and studio processes behind a new body of work.
Over several years, Elaine has explored the idea that artists' hands function as tools of implicit knowledge, where touch, intuition, and mark-making contribute to the formation of an artist's visual language.
During the session, Elaine will discuss her recent investigations into self-portraiture and silhouette forms, which explore personal histories and connections to place. The new copper plate etchings were produced during the Rad x Megalo Residency in 2025.
The program offers audiences the opportunity to engage with artist proofs, conceptual development, technical processes, and recurring themes, alongside a live demonstration of inking and printing copper plate etchings.
