Princess or Villain? Which do you wish to portray. Come play as your inner alter ego. Or just come to observe the stylings of others.
Please reach out if you would like to perform <3 Keep in mind, your initial song choices must be in by May 29, or you may be denied that song choice.
The theme for the show is Princess and Villain. This theme is NOT limited to Disney Characters, though they do provide a lot of the solo songs that fit the theme. This is NOT limited to songs sung BY villains/Princesses, as many villain songs are sung ABOUT them, and Princes (and Princexes) are important too so their songs are welcome as well. If you have an idea of a song that could be sung by an appropriate character that wasn't actually from a recognized Disney/Broadway/Opera/Movie/TV/Video Game, but it fits their character as you intend to interpret it, that would be very welcome. And of course as RSCOC is primarily a drag/camp organization we are happy to include lip sync performances. We are also open to performances that are skits, or soliloquies (i.e. acting), interpretive dance, stand up comedy or poetry. Bottom line: creativity in creating your performance is encouraged.
For those interested in performing in this show, the Emperor will need to know your character, song and/or other performance description by Friday, May 29. This is mainly to ensure that no two performers end up depicting the same character. (Music need not be submitted at that time.)
