Movement Shaped Like a Heart will for this evening be presenting 6 short set of people, presenting their material in unique solo formats, and with two new duos put together for this event.
The evening will both be presenting music that is improvised
and music that is not.

‘mmt n lzrd’ is the sonic morph of magnus munk tækker & liza dries, where improvisation with organic instruments like the voice, pedalsteel and clarinet are handed over to a shimmering digital realm of uncertainty. Angelic David Lynch meets hyper ambient that could have been teleported straight from the shire.
Mikkel Wilstrup and Johannes Østlund Jacobsen explore the wonders of makeshift microtonal instruments in everyday objects. Weaving between the beatsy and the textural - you can expect to feel the itch to move in one place.
Asger Nissen is a danish saxophone artist based in Copenhagen & Berlin. Drawn by both beauty and empathy as well as ambiguities and complexities he explores melodic paths through post-tonal harmony in a modern avant-postbop aesthetic.
For this solo set, he will bring recently written pieces to be real time interpreted and weaved together in an improvised field of timbres, harmonies, melodies and further impulses.
Astrid Friberg is a singer, songwriter and guitarist whose songs explore themes of growing up and transformation and are infused with a mixture of elements from alternative pop, folk and rock. Each song builds upon different harmonic, melodic and rythmical structures, which allows her minimalistic setup of (electric & acoustic) guitar and vocals to support a multifaceted expression; down-to-earth, dreamy, shy and angry.
With the intention of summing up his approach on the guitar with a long line of bands, Halfdan Magnus Stefansson will be presenting works for the format of solo electric guitar.
benjamin draad aka selver will be playing an ambient-ish set, trying out stretched and bended versions of tracks from his coming debut EP, to see how they feel in a temporary new shell.
Movement Shaped Like a Heart is a collectively run record label and platform for promoting the new wave of alternative music coming out of Denmark.
