Primary Care Payment Reform Workshop (In-Person Event)
This all-day workshop is designed for primary care providers serving Medicaid patients in New Mexico, offering in-depth insights into the state's Primary Care Payment Reform Value-Based Payment (VBP) Program. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of recent changes to the VBP program and how these adjustments will impact their practices. The session will delve into common operational and implementation challenges related to data collection and reporting during the first 18 months of the program's rollout. Attendees will learn strategies to optimize their data processes to ensure compliance with evolving program requirements. Collaborative discussions with peers will foster the sharing of lessons learned and best practices to overcome data-related obstacles, equipping providers with actionable tools to navigate the VBP program effectively and improve patient outcomes.
Participants attending this workshop will qualify for Continuing Education Units.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants/physician associates, and registered nurses who should understand the requirements and procedures necessary to participate in the Medicaid Primary Care Payment Model.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand recent changes to the Primary Care Payment Reform Value Based Payment Program and how they will affect primary care practices in New Mexico.
- Identify and address operational and implementation related challenges with data collection and reporting during the initial 18 βmonth period of hte program.
- Apply strategies to optimize data collection and reporting processes to improve compliance with program requirements.
- Collaborate with peers to share lessons learned and best practices to mitigate data-related challenges in VBP program implementation.
