RSVP REQUIREDThis is a great workshop on nonviolent de-escalation skills for protesters, organizers, and folks thinking of volunteering as Safety Team members for any social justice cause! Come learn how personnel trained in de-escalation can help create a successful and peaceful event. We’ll cover nonviolence principles and guidelines, techniques to defuse and de-escalate potentially volatile situations, and how to organize a Safety Team. And, we’ll practice so we are ready to use these new skills in real life! Successfully completing this training makes you eligible to join the Pride Safety Team for North Idaho Pride Alliance, but there is NO obligation.
