PRIDE MONTH Queer Ecology Walk

Join Jason Wise (aka @jasonjourneyman) on an easy, 2 mile round trip, 250ft elevation change exploration of our local ecosystems through the lens of QUEER ECOLOGY--the study of everything in nature that subverts western cultural expectations about how the world *should* work. The natural world does not subscribe to any particular human culture, it just exists as a beautifully diverse tapestry of ways to survive and thrive--individualistic or communal; patriarchal or matriarchal; heterosexual, homosexual, or in the case of most flowers, bisexual. We will observe, share, and learn about nature in ways that reflect our own diversity, and then connect to it on a whole new beautiful level.

This is a sunset hike into the evening, on a beautiful, easy/unique trail, with a natural spring/creek that flows year round. One of my favorite pockets of the city where it feels like you're nowhere near the city at all.
