Pride at Golden Fords Café

When Surrey Pride was sadly cancelled this year, we didn't want our community to miss out on the opportunity to come together, celebrate and connect. So Golden Fords Café along with other collaborators including Out & Aligned™, Surrey Rainbow Choir and Patches have joined forces to bring you a special community Mini Pride - and we'd love you to be part of it!

Please read the below carefully before booking to ensure the smooth running of the event on the day!

To comply with venue capacity and licensing requirements, this is a ticket-only event. Entry will only be permitted with a valid ticket and you'll be given a wristband on entry.

We have limited availability:

• 150 Morning/Lunch Tickets (10am until 2:30pm) – £5
• 150 Afternoon/Evening Tickets (3:30pm–9:00pm) - 18+ – £10
• 100 Full Day Tickets (10am-9:00pm) – 18+ - £15

Once tickets have sold out, we won't be able to admit any additional guests. EVERYONE in a party must purchase a ticket - see the further info below.

• Performances from the Rainbow Choir
• Live music
• Feel-good Pride classics and zumba dancing

11.45-12.15pm - Zumba / Fish & Chips Served

12.15-1.15pm - Raffle and results / Fish & Chips Served

1.15-1.45pm - Rainbow Choir Set 2

1.45-2pm - Suprise!

The celebrations continue for adults only with:

• Feel-good Pride classics and dancing

Please note: The evening session and full-day tickets are strictly for those aged 18+.

Every penny received from ticket sales goes directly towards the cost of running the event. Any surplus funds will be donated to local LGBTQ+ organisations, helping support our community long after the day is over.

• This is a ticket-only event. The reason for this is that we are a very small venue with a limited capacity and licensing requirements we must adhere to. Please therefore make sure you buy the right ticket and include a ticket for EVERY PERSON in your group, including children of all ages, coming in your booking (babies exempt) - this is very important!
• Directions are given on the confirmation email - please do read this as the postcode will not take you there!
• Any children attending the morning/lunch slot must be accompanied by an adult.
• Please bring your ticket with you on the day.
• The evening event is 18+ only. We operate a challenge 25 policy, so please bring ID if you're lucky enough to look under 25!
• No Parking: There is strictly no parking at the venue or along the access track. Chantry Wood Car Park and Shalford Park Car Park are the nearest car parks but they are likely to fill quickly. We'd highly recommend parking in Guildford town centre and walking to the venue where possible to avoid disappointment. If you have access support requirements please see the below.
• Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times and must clean up after them.
• Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled for any reason.
• Ticket prices cover entry only to cover the cost of acts. Please do not bring your own food or drink into the venue (other than bottled water). Our café and food vendors will be serving food and refreshments throughout the day.
• Purchasing a ticket guarantees entry to the event, not a reserved seat. As we're a small venue, seating will be limited and you may need to stand or sit on the grass. You're very welcome to bring a picnic blanket or camping chair to make yourself comfortable.
• Accessibility: We want this event to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible. As a small venue, we recognise there are currently some accessibility limitations while we continue to improve the space. If you have any accessibility requirements or would like to discuss how we can support you, please get in touch before the event and we'll do everything we reasonably can to help.
• We want everyone to feel safe, welcome and respected. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask anyone displaying abusive, discriminatory, threatening or inappropriate behaviour to leave the event.
• The cafe is, unfortunately a bit tricky to find, so please don't just put us into your SatNav as it won't work! Put Chantry Wood Car Park into your Sat Nav (GU4 8AW). You will see a white cottage at the back of the car park. Take a left there down the wooded track. Remember - there is strictly NO PARKING from this point onwards. Follow the woodland walk for 5-10 minutes until you see the cafe sign - take a left and come and join us!
