Aims & Objectives

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the role and importance of preventive protocols in primary dental care, including their impact on long-term oral and general health outcomes.

  • Apply a structured framework to integrate evidence-based lifestyle medicine principles into periodontal care planning.
  • Demonstrate effective behaviour change strategies by:

-Using basic coaching techniques (e.g. open questioning, reflective listening)

-Formulating SMART goals with patients to support sustainable oral health improvements
