Tooled Up - Metalwork (Sat 6 Feb 2027)

You will learn about marking out, cutting and you will construct your own personal tool box to take home. We'll get you confident in marking out, cutting up and constructing your own handy tool tote in metal.

Learn tools, processes to make your own personal tool box to store and carry your gear and the confidence to tackle those making projects at home, work or in the studio.

By the end of the workshop you will be familiar with:

1. How to assemble a basic, useful toolkit for metal work projects

2. How to use and care for them - "the right tool for the right job"

3. Fundamental techniques in metal craft:

Measuring, marking out and cutting materials, drilling, punching spot welding, screws and glues, bending metals & constructing.

4) Using these in a safe and efficient way to create your own handy Toolbox to take away

This is a fun, practical hands on one day course with experienced artist/maker and tutor.

Please note there will be a 1 hour lunch break during the day (lunch is not provided).

Basic materials are all included. Open to all levels including beginners.

Health and Safety briefings will be given.
