Preventing Drowning Through Early Education with Pawter in the Water
About this Event
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, but it is preventable. Join us to learn practical strategies for keeping young children safe around water using Pawter in the Water, an engaging water safety program that teaches life saving skills through stories and songs, along with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance's 5 Layers of Protection. Together, we can help equip families and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to prevent childhood drowning and save lives!
Angie Baker and Calli Brennan have more than 40 years of combined experience teaching swim lessons and leading aquatic programs. As mothers and aquatic professionals, they share a passion for preventing childhood drowning through education. Together, they created Pawter in the Water, an engaging water safety program that teaches life saving water safety rules through rhyming stories and songs. They are united by a vision of a future where no child loses their life to a preventable drowning.
