Preventing and Solving Homelessness: Emerging Research from CPL

Join us for a lunch-time briefing in Sacramento designed to provide an accessible introduction to the latest research on homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing, and employment and homelessness.
We'll share key takeaways from new research on:
- two homelessness prevention programs in the Bay Area and Los Angeles,
- how rapid rehousing reduces homelessness among families and individuals, and
- employment trends among people experiencing homelessness in LA.
CPL researchers will walk through the foundations, share key findings from recent research, and discuss what the evidence can tell us about what works. We’ll leave plenty of time for questions and discussion.
The California Policy Lab is a nonpartisan, applied research institute at the University of California with research priorities covering education, criminal justice reform, poverty and the social safety net, labor and employment, health, and homelessness and high needs populations.
