💥 WHAT TO EXPECT
This isn’t your typical horse show.
The Pretty Gritty Cowgirl Showdown is a 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 — where grit, teamwork, horsemanship, and a little bit of strategy all come into play.
Teams of 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘄𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 will compete in 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲, 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 inspired by:
• everyday farm & ranch tasks
• barrels & poles
• cattle work
• trail obstacles
Some challenges will test 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱.
Some will test 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Others will test how well your team works together under pressure.

📌 Complete challenge rules will be released to registered teams with paid deposits by May 16.

🐎 WHO CAN COMPETE?
This event is just for the ladies and built to be 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.
• No age restrictions
• No discipline restrictions — Western or English tack permitted
• No minimum skill level
• No special equipment needed

• Outdoor, uncovered arena
• Dry camping available Friday & Saturday $20 per trailer
• No stalls — overnight tie-outs permitted

ℹ️ GOOD TO KNOW
• Spectators welcome — 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
• 8 team minimum / 15 team limit
• Appropriate riding attire required (discipline attire & helmets encouraged)
• Teams of 4
• Same horse must be used for all challenges within a team
• Riders on multiple teams may use a different horse for each team
• Two riders may share a horse if they are on separate teams
• Cash-only concessions available
• Dogs/pets must be leashed at all times
• Weather date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
• Arena follows Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture regulations
• Roping (if included) will not use live cattle and be on foot only — ropes provided
• Late entries may be accepted if space allows (subject to late fee)
