Press Play Jackson is a hands-on, community-powered gathering for seasoned and up-and-coming documentary filmmakers, video journalists, and local media creatives to connect and discuss the future of media.

Together, we’ll explore what’s working (and what’s not) in local storytelling ecosystems, from emerging video formats to legacy newsroom shifts. Come with ideas, curiosity, and be ready to connect across disciplines.

Whether you're crafting docs, reporting stories, filming reels, or just starting out, Press Play is your space to share, spark, and shape what’s next for media.

Starting at 2:00 pm

Please join us for the full afternoon-to-evening experience, which will fuel your professional work, personal growth, and community connections. The day will feature community intros, panel convos, breakout sessions, and an inspiring screening + Q&A — snacks, drinks, and real conversation included.

Afterparty at 8:00pm

We’ll keep the celebration going off site, including a delicious local meal.

Come on your own or with others! All are welcome.
