Presque Isle Poker Paddle 2026

Welcoming KAYAKS, CANOES & PADDLE BOARDS… all paddlers are invited to join Presque Isle Partnership for a day of fun on the waterways of Presque Isle on Saturday, June 6! The 5.5 mile poker run takes participants on a scenic journey through the Presque Isle Lagoons, Marina Lake, Presque Isle Bay, Horseshoe Pond, Misery Bay and Graveyard Pond.

What is a Poker Run?

A poker run is an event where participants travel to different checkpoints, collecting playing cards along the way. At each checkpoint, they draw a card, and the objective is to have the best poker hand by the end of the run. It's a fun and social activity that combines elements of gambling with outdoor adventure.

Details about the Poker Paddle

Groups of 20 boats at a time will launch at the Lagoons Boat Launch on Presque Isle State Park. When registering, paddlers must choose a desired launch time to ensure we don't encounter any floating traffic jams. Our first launch time is 7:15am and then every 15 minutes until 11am.

Paddlers will stop at five pre-determined locations along 5.5 mile loop, drawing a card at each location. Individuals with the best and "worst of the best" five-card poker hands win cash prizes.

You may choose to adjust your route as you please and draw any "skipped" card stops at the end of the course. All paddlers must be finished by 2pm.

The event wraps up with a picnic lunch at Beach 11 pavilion from 10am-1:30pm.
