This FREE workshop is a collaboration between Nate and Silver Maple Strategies, The St. Charles County Library, and the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre.
In this interactive workshop, participants learn how to thoughtfully and effectively capture the life stories of loved ones. Drawing on 20+ years of journalism experience, presenter Nate Birt will provide a simple structure for conducting interviews, asking the right questions, and navigating sensitive moments with care.
Whether attendees want to create a family keepsake, record oral history, or simply have more meaningful conversations, they will leave equipped with tools they can use immediately, which includes a discussion about the Library’s oral history kits that the community can now check out to help preserve their stories.
This workshop is for all ages, and all materials will be provided.
