Preservation Detroit 2026 Tour Season Launch and Volunteer Sign-up

For more than two decades, Preservation Detroit has been the “go to” group in preserving and promoting the amazing history of Detroit’s growth and cultural heritage through its award-winning Walking Tours Program. Our volunteer tour guides lead tours of historic districts in Detroit, including Downtown, Eastern Market, Midtown, and the Cultural Center, as well as specialty tours, including our always-popular Cemetery and Theatre tours. You can be a significant part of this as a volunteer, so join us!!

Are you a local history buff? Do you like meeting new people and making new friends from all over the world? Do you love to tell stories? Is keeping the “Spirit of Detroit" alive important to you? Where: MSU Detroit Center, 3408 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48201

(2 blocks south of Mack on the east side of Woodward at Erskine)

Parking: Free parking is available at the SoMA parking garage at 81 Erskine for the meeting. *BRING YOUR PARKING TICKET INSIDE TO BE VALIDATED AT THE MSU CENTER FOR FREE PARKING. (There may be a sign outside indicating a price for parking, but that is for general parking.)
