About this Event

Important note:

All attendees must have completed the Build A Business to be able to join the workshop. If you have not previously completed this Registration Form, please complete after booking your place on Eventbrite.

To be eligible for this workshop, you must be a Greater Manchester resident or the owner of a Greater Manchester located business within the following GM authorities: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, or Wigan.

Please arrive between 9:00-9:30am for networking and registration. Workshop starts at 9:30am.



Presenting with Confidence: Communication Skills for Small Business Success


Target Aim: This would be a practical, confidence-building workshop with real-world examples, take-home resources, and live exercises. Designed to help you apply what you learn immediately in your business conversations, pitches, or content.


The workshop will cover:

  • Finding your message - how to talk about what you do in a way that lands
  • Building your personal presence - Tools and techniques for vocal, and body language - speak with authenticity to connect with clients and funders
  • Structuring your pitch or intro or CTA
  • Handling nerves and thinking on your feet - Q&A
  • Connecting authentically
  • Practical on-the-spot exercises


PLEASE NOTE: Build A Business programme of funded workshops have limited places. Failure to attend on two separate occasions without prior cancellation will result in you being barred from attending future workshops. This is due to the cost of setting up each workshop and making preparations based on the number of sign-ups.
