Grab your friends, your family, and your neighbors, because Turning Point Community Programs is bringing something special to the State Theatre of Modesto! Join us for a FREE screening of No One Cares About Crazy People, a powerful and deeply human documentary about the crisis of severe mental illness in America,and the families and advocates refusing to give up on the people they love, in a system that makes it difficult.
Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Gail Freedman and inspired by the acclaimed book by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Ron Powers, No One Cares About Crazy People is a raw, unflinching look at the crisis of severe mental illness in America and the systems at play right here in California. Narrated by Bob Odenkirk, it is a moving and timely film that reflects on what our communities have built and the work that still remains.
